Reviews
A pure delight. Le Pied Jaune is a delightful little restaurant in the centre of Ceillac. The menu was impressive for such a small village set high up in the Alps.
I decided to go for a salad and found I had a choice of six. All were impressive ranging from local specialty to Italian. The decision was hard to make but I eventually chose the Italian Antipasti and was not disappointed. This generous salad was served on a good sized board and beautifully presented. The variations were delightful with a spoonful of pate olives, courgettes thinly sliced and soaked in oil and herbs - which were delicious, a central presentation of rocket, aubergine, artichoke and sun dried tomatoes, thin slices of 'jambon', and two balls of croquettes with a risotto centre and melted mozzarella cheese. These were delicious eaten hot with the cheese melting.
I can honestly say that this was the best salad I have ever tasted and finished feeling perfectly filled.
Anyone visiting Ceillac should definitely spoil themselves to a superb meal here. They also provide an express menu during the day for a very reasonable price or a 'Formule du midi' for a set price.
Superbe food, fantastic wine offering, great selection of beers, really friendly waiters.
Good location and good service from the waitress. However, the owner was mean when we asked for the details of the bill.
We are from a nearby town, but we won't come back to this place
The Panini's tasted great, but we waited almost 50 minutes for our lunch.
Nice place with a selection of great Belgian Beers!
If you walk by and don't get the tiramisu, you are making a huge mistake.
Excellent restaurant !!
Dinner on the first evening of our vacation, a very nice discovery, warm and friendly welcome, perfect ambiance of the place and exquisite cuisine.
We returned there for "a snack", always the same quality of welcome and taste, to be frequented without moderation, well done to your teams.
